Nitennoh-zou ~ at Yakushiji, Nara~
The statues of Nitennoh(二天王像) can be found at each end of Nakamon(中門)~ the main precinct gate~ at Yakushiji Temple. It looked like they were placed to guard the temple from evils.  The below is the Nakamon. You see one of the statues on the right.

Sazanka(camellia) with ants

Camellia started to bloom a lot of places in Japan. Japanese calls Camellia as "Sazanka." I suppose, in Japan, Sazanka is a pretty popular tree to have at your garden. I see them everywhere!

There are some variations on the color of petals; as if it were painted with watercolors, the below flower has the mixture of pink and white.

There are also ones with pure white, too. I love all three types!
