I went to Jidai matsuri yesterday!

Yesterday I went to Kyoto to see Jidai Matsuri. Jidai Matsuri is a commemorative parade held in the heart of Kyoto to celebrate the long history of Japan. There were so many people, including tourists from all over the world to watch the procession. Even for Japanese, it was very intersting.

"Jidai Matsuri"~a commemorative event~

If you are planning to visit Kyoto, you want to check the website, Kyoto Travel Guide. You can find almost everything about Kyoto; its history, locations, dining, accomodations, transportation, events, and more.

Today, October 22, there will be "Jidai Matsuri (Jidai Festival)," a commemorative event held in Kyoto. It features a procession of about 2000 people in period dress, marching the major streets in the heart of Kyoto, as far as 2km. The procession brings to life the transition of the ages, showing the customs and culture of each period in sequential order.
